This two day workshop is designed to provide participants with the basic skills and knowledge to PRODUCE and EDIT their own quality video projects. To accomplish this goal, the workshop will include:

III. Video Editing Demonstration

IV. Hands-on Experience with
     Casablanca Prestige Editor:

•  Split Scenes from Source Video 
• Create Still Scenes
• Add Text & Transitions
• Create a scene of work
• Save Scene to Clipboard

Retrieve Scene from Clipboard and Paste in New Project

THE ART PROJECT

A Simulation of a Real-world Video Production Project Using a Prepared Script and Tutorial Guide: 

•  Apply Editing Skills from Day 1
• Produce Video Scenes in Studio
• Apply Live Picture-in-Picture
• Use Teleprompter to Read Script
• Split and Trim Audio Samples
• Create Voice Over Narration
• Do “ Insert” Video Edits
• Multilayering of Effects
• Insert Audio Samples
• Add Music and Adjust Audio Levels
• Use DVD Menu System

Burn DVD of project

Schedule of Retreats: 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

CEUs: obtain prior approval from your school district. Letter of attendance will be provided for 16 hours of instruction.
